Ambitious team players needed

ING Insurance's regional office is looking for people who can help strengthen support for its business units and cater for the expansion of its in-house commerce, finance and internal audit teams.

New hires will be expected to co-ordinate with business units around Asia, and interact with the company's head office in Amsterdam.

Candidates need good communication skills, a "can do" attitude, entrepreneurial spirit and a high level of integrity. It is also important to be a good team player.

"We are happy to invest in our people and help them to perform and realise their potential," says Charlene Stenton-Dozey, human resources and internal communications manager, ING Asia-Pacific. "We leverage their strengths and manage their development needs." Each ING staff member has a personal development plan to identify specific training needs and guide individuals towards their career goals. Managers and supervisors give further support and advice throughout the year. The company also runs an "IAP Leadership Journey", a 100-day programme that brings together professionals to collaborate on strategic projects that can impact the company's long-term development.

ING will soon launch an improved on-boarding programme to take new hires through their first three months.

It will combine practical experience, e-learning and classroom-based instruction, including information about the company and its departments.
