Firm to hire 2,000 staff
PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) has 400 openings for top-calibre candidates in Hong Kong and a further 1,600 on the mainland.
The accountancy firm offers comprehensive training, including four weeks' orientation and on-the-job guidance to equip graduates for fast-track careers. Initially, the programme familiarises recruits with key aspects of the firm's culture, strategy and global network before focusing on specific areas of assurance, tax and advisory business. All graduates have colleagues to act as career coaches and buddies to give continuing guidance and support.
Nora Wu, human resources partner for PwC China, Hong Kong and Singapore, notes the emphasis on training and education, and the chance for overseas secondment.
"We encourage global mobility and offer the opportunity for international assignments, as we realise the great benefits it offers," she says. "It encourages people to learn new skills, and to develop an international mindset that will help shape them as the business world's leaders of tomorrow."
The firm is committed to hiring graduates from diverse backgrounds and a wide range of universities. This helps to ensure a large pool of talented people, which helps to create a work environment and culture that supports each graduate's personal development and provides long-lasting benefits.
PwC says new recruits can look forward to a career rich in rewards, recognition and responsibility. Salaries are competitive and individuals can expect financial rewards as they progress.
