Group seeks new staff to drive growth
Despite having more than 11,000 employees in Asia, Avery Dennison's retail information services group is looking for new recruits to drive growth. In particular, there are numerous opportunities in the account services, global product development (GPD) and sales teams in Hong Kong.
Account services officers play a critical role. Candidates should be able to manage priorities and have strong communication skills in Chinese and English.
"The important thing is to be passionate about pursuing a career in customer service," says John Holding, vice-president of human resources for the company's retail information services division. "Therefore, applicants without relevant work experience will still be considered."
The GPD team is responsible for managing the set-up process for first orders and product development. Anyone hoping to join this division should have experience in merchandising, or of developing products in the apparel industry or related sectors.
Maintaining the company's brand and building client relationships with apparel manufacturers is the responsibility of the sales team. "Executives with solid account management experience and the mindset to sell solutions are needed to develop our portfolio," Holding says.
