New salary checker app shows how much you're worth

Job seekers can now find out exactly what they’re worth with the Salary Checker app, launched this week by recruitment consultancy Robert Walters.

Designed for professional job seekers, it draws on data from the firm’s market-leading Salary Survey and allows users to determine their own market rate, to see how this compares with other sectors and cities/countries and globally and to view salary trends over time.

Phil Jenkins, Director of Digital Marketing at Robert Walters, said: "We wanted to provide job seekers with a key resource to help them in their job search. Are they being paid more than the rest of the market where they are? And when it comes to negotiating with a potential employer, what represents a fair offer? The app also provides a comprehensive and accurate overview for employers looking to benchmark pay against the rest of the market."

The app is designed for professional job seekers, allowing them to check their market rate in more than 20 countries. So an accountant, HR, legal, IT, engineering, supply chain, secretarial or marketing specialist will find annual salaries and contract pay rates. Based on Robert Walters Global Salary Survey – produced for over a decade – the rates are a credible source of salary data.
