Leading for Success
School of Business and Management, HKUST
The School of Business and Management of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology has developed a 10-day leading for success consortium programme to help business leaders and entrepreneurs improve leadership capabilities.
Professor Xu Yan, its associate dean, says the programme offers business leaders a comprehensive curriculum in leadership.
"We have been offering short courses for big international companies. The programme is built on our extensive experience in offering world-class executive education to senior executives and business owners," he says.
Students will participate in games, case studies and group discussions.
The university's current students are mainly business leaders and entrepreneurs of leading companies and organisations, mostly holding positions of general manager, president and director.
They come from a wide range of sectors including banking, construction, engineering, garment, government, and health care. Around 30 per cent of them are from overseas.
Classes for this school year are held from September to December. The application deadline is June 24. A certificate of attendance will be awarded to participants who have completed at least 80 per cent class attendance.
