MGM Macau, a brand under MGM Resorts International, is a huge operation employing about 5,800 staff. The company currently has about 150 vacancies across 50 different positions, in various departments.
What is more, MGM Macau (below) will soon be expanding and offers good career prospects within the enclave.
The multicultural company, with an overseas staff of 20 per cent, favours friendly and caring candidates who speak both English and Chinese.
"We appreciate our team members being passionate about their work, which provides them with the incentive to learn," says Wendy Yu, vice-president, human resources.
"To familiarise new staff with our company values and policies, we provide a general orientation, departmental induction and other departmental training programmes," says Yu.
MGM Macau provides learning and advancement opportunities through their "MGM Academy", launched in 2009. "In addition, operational training is conducted by respective departments," Yu says.
To maintain team spirit and work-life balance, the company conducts quarterly departmental events, interest classes, off-site team building and anniversary staff parties.
"Employees also participate in community activities like tree-planting, charity visits and miscellaneous charity work for the elderly and children," says Yu.
