What should I do if my suggestions are being ignored at work?

I specialise in new software implementation and am contracted out by my employer to assist clients in this regard. Part of my work is to identify which software products would best suit the clients’ needs; however, over the last 18 months my suggestions have been voted down more and more often by my own superiors and I am forced to implement solutions that in my opinion are below par. There have been cases where such software has not performed to expectations and I am worried that I will start to get a bad reputation in this industry for decisions that are not mine. Should I start to look for a job elsewhere and if so, what is the market like in Hong Kong for my role?
