Wu joins hospitality search specialists ACI

HONG KONG: Recruitment, executive search and professional training firm ACI has appointed Virginia Wu as director for client services based in Hong Kong.

ACI chief executive Andrew Chan said Wu brings to the company more than 25 years of hospitality industry experience. She has worked in various senior management positions in hotel companies, including regional sales manager of Shangri-La Hotels International, director sales and marketing at The Kowloon Hotel, regional sales manager for Hong Kong ang Asia at The Peninsula Group, director of marketing for Hotel Victoria, director of marketing for Duxton Hotels International, and senior director for business development in Asia-Pacific with WORLDHOTELS.

Wu was also an associate lecturer at TMIS, MDIS and Kaplan Higher Education in Singapore, teaching diploma and bachelor degree programmes relating to hospitality and tourism.

Most recently, Wu was group director of sales and marketing for Harbour Plaza Hotel Management, heading up sales and marketing strategies for 10 hotels managed by the group.

Wu is a Certified Professional Coach (IPMA, UK) and holds a master’s degree in business administration from Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées France, and a master degree in international tourism and hospitality management from James Cook University Australia.
