Accountant (Student Accounts Unit) (Ref. 16101405-E2) 


The appointee will be responsible for: 

(a)  supporting the administration of fee collection from and payments to applicants/students/graduates; 

(b)  liaising with departments on issues related to fee collection and payments; 

(c)  supervising the daily operation of the Unit; 

(d)  participating in enhancement of the Student Accounts System and user acceptance tests; 

(e) handling enquires from departments, applicants, students and graduates; 

(f)  performing general office administration; and 

(g)  any other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance and her delegates. 


Applicants should have: 

(a)  a recognised degree in Accounting or related disciplines; 

(b) preferably a professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent); 

(c) at least five years of relevant post-qualification experience in accounting or related area, including two or more years in a team leader role, with experience in student accounts related business domain being an advantage; 

(d)  preferably solid knowledge and experience in system development; 

(e)  proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and relational database design; 

(f)  a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; and 

(g) good communication and interpersonal skills. 

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written language proficiency test and a job-related written test.

Remuneration and Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.  Applicants should state their current and expected salary in the application.
