The appointee will assist in the development of Administrative Information Systems of the University, from the gathering of system requirements, interface design, system implementation, maintenance and enhancement, updating documentation to providing user support and training when the system rolls out.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computing Science or a relevant discipline, and have at least two years of post-qualification experience in web-based and client/server application development. They should have practical experience in relational database and development tools (such as Sybase, Microsoft SQL server, Crystal Report), application servers (such as WebLogic, Websphere) and using web development for both backend and frontend and be well-versed in web application programming techniques in Java such as J2EE framework, EJB, JPA, etc.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of up to two years. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
