Our client is a leading US law firm. This position is directly reported to the Head of Business Development based in Hong Kong and works closely with the business development and marketing team in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary media contact for corporate communications, image and crisis management
  • Provide strategic direction to and oversight of PR campaigns
  • Collaborate with Global PR team to develop and implement a comprehensive media strategy in alignment with the firm’s strategic business development goals
  • Develop high-quality press events and draft press releases, fact sheets and other materials for internal and external constituents
  • Provide creative input and editing for communications strategy and presentations, press releases, by-lined articles, firm website, intranet and internal/external communications
  • Draft content for reports, white papers, articles and presentations across print and electronic digital channels around key issues, news and firm successes
  • Interview key stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop input for thought leadership and written deliverables
  • Legal directory management

Requirements

  • A degree in Public Relations, Communications, Media or related subject
  • Around 10 years of demonstrated success in managing public relations and internal/external communications in a corporate environment
  • Publications experience including editorial scheduling, drafting and editing skills
  • Journalist experience in trade magazines
  • Previous experience in Public Relations ideally within an agency or in-house press office
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record of media success and established network of media relationships including book of local/regional contacts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with deep knowledge about electronic newswires services, media tracking and web research resources
