Responsibilities:

  • Handling valuation of Hong Kong statutory reporting and local capital management. Statutory valuation is required to meet regulatory requirement and local capital management is key to the financial soundness of the Company.
  • Monitor and analyse the solvency position and shareholder dividend capacity of the Company
  • Perform Hong Kong statutory valuation and analysis on statutory earnings
  • Produce and review regulatory reports such as Dynamic Solvency Testing, Quarterly and Annual Business Return
  • Analyse the implication of Hong Kong Risk Based Capital regime
  • Identify and implement the improvement and development of systems (e.g. Prophet) and processes for regular reports and analysis
  • Maintain a clearly documented audit trail of data, assumptions, methods, modelling, process and financial results


Requirements:
  • University graduate in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics and preferably nearly qualified actuary
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in related field, preferably in financial reporting area
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Detail minded, self-motivated, able to work under pressure
  • Good command of both written and spoken English
  • Excellent knowledge of spreadsheets, database, other PC languages and modelling skills
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered for Senior Actuarial Analyst position
