Established by the Government in 1989, The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK) has five academic units, namely the School of Arts & Social Sciences, Lee Shau Kee School of Business & Administration, School of Education & Languages, School of Science & Technology, and the Li Ka Shing Institute of Professional & Continuing Education. Through them, we provide full-time and part-time programmes at undergraduate, post-graduate, and sub-degree levels.

Assistant Information Technology Officer (Ref.: 16-AITO-317-O)


Duties

The appointee will work in a technical team responsible for providing technical, front-line, and administrative support for PC/server hardware/software, Audio-Visual (AV)/LAN equipment, PC laboratories, teaching/tutorial rooms, hotline/helpdesk, and special projects such as system upgrade, and undertake any other duties as assigned. He/she may also be required to work on shift in the evening during weekends and/or public holidays.


Requirements

Applicants should attain at least 5 subjects with Level 2 in HKDSE or equivalent, including English & Chinese languages and Mathematics, preferably with a diploma or higher certificate in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computing Studies or equivalent. A minimum of two years’ working experience with exposure in PC/server hardware/software, AV/LAN equipment operations, and user supportis required.


*Applicants should indicate the results of HKCEE / HKDSE (or equivalent qualifications) in their applications.


Terms of Appointment

Successful candidatewill be appointed on a full-time fixed term contract. Fringe benefits will include annual leave, medical & dental benefits and life insurance coverage, where applicable.
