Department of Psychiatry

The Department is seeking an Assistant Professor within the area of genetic studies in psychiatric disorders. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding investigator to play a leading role in developing genetic studies in neuropsychiatric and behavioural disorders at CUHK.

Applicants should have
(i) a PhD degree in a relevant field;
(ii) several years of post-doctoral experience;
(iii) a research profile in genetic studies in psychiatric disorders as documented by publications in international journals; and
(iv) ambition to establish collaborative research in multimodality evaluation of psychiatric disorders in the department.

Applicants should submit application online, including a curriculum vitae, a full list of the applicant’s scientific publications indicating the five most important publications, copies of all publications on which the applicant wishes to be evaluated, a brief survey of the applicant’s most important research results and research plans for the next three years, including research management and research grants, and an outline of how the applicant’s future research strategy would build on current research, identifying how it would complement existing research in genetics research program of CUHK.

Appointment will normally be made on contract basis for up to two years initially commencing April 2017, which, subject to mutual agreement, may lead to longer-term appointment or substantiation later.
