Assistant Project Manager (Building)

The Department

Our Property Department commits to provide integrated, customer-centric, sustainable and cost effective asset management, development management, project management and facilities management services to the key Business Units in the Club.

 

The Job

You will:

  • assist the Project Manager to co-ordinate, monitor, supervise and work in conjunction with other team members in completing the work with high quality and within the planning schedule
  • be responsible for management and supervision of main contract works and associated sub-contracts coordination, in particularly on their performance on work progress, planning of site activities, management of sub-contractors, logistic, safety and health, environmental control, workmanship and quality, and stakeholder’s management, etc
  • develop, manage and monitor project plans including project programme, project organization chart, scope statement, constraints, assumptions, major milestones, schedule, resources requirements, procurement plans, risks management
  • monitor and control project costs within the approved budget
  • assist the Project Manager on evaluation and assessment of variations with technical advice from respective consultants
  • liaise, co-ordinate and communicate with project stakeholders, Facilities Management Team throughout the duration of projects to ensure clear understanding of project development and to secure necessary inputs and decisions from these parties in a timely manner
  • assist to disseminate project information and maintain communication with user, team members, consultants, contractors and vendors and statutory parties attend design/construction co-ordination meetings and ensure the Club’s installations comply with the updated regulations and statutory requirements
  • undertake other projects as assigned by Executive Manager, Property Project Management


About You

You are preferred to have:

  • degree holder in construction management/building /structural engineering or equivalent with membership of a recognized professional institute (such as MCIOB, MICE, MHKIE)
  • a minimum of  7 years relevant experience in construction management with specialization in superstructure construction supervision, architectural builder’s works and fitout. Experience in facade/ external works is preferable
  • concept and knowledge of project management software tools, such as AutoCAD, Building Information Management (BIM), MS Project and PowerPoint would be an advantage
  • conversant with local government regulations particularly on building construction, health and safety
  • proficiency in both English and Chinese
  • self-motivated and a team player
  • good leadership and communication skills


Terms of Employment

The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualification and experience. A contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate. Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
