HKCAAVQ is going to launch a project to create a centralised database to capture the Credit Accumulation and Transfer (CAT) information and articulation arrangements with a dedicated search function on the QR. The concept of building this centralised database was first initiated in 2014 by the Qualifications Framework Secretariat to achieve the ultimate goal of the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework to support lifelong learning. This database will build on the progressively developed CAT features incorporated on the QR and the increasing number of CAT programmes listed on the QR.

Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible for managing this project for the incorporation of information related to credit accumulation and transfer in the web-based QR system. The role as project manager includes, amongst others, project planning, documenting the project scope and deliverables, communication with stakeholders, consultation with operators on the collection of requisite data, servicing the project management team (including the internal project management group, project advisory and implementation groups, and focus groups), monitoring the achievement of the project milestones and ensuring that project deliverables meet the requirements.

Requirements
Applicants should hold a first degree comparable to HKQF Level 5, preferably with a post-graduate qualification at HKQF Level 6 or above, and have at least 5 years of post-qualification relevant work experience preferably in education, training or quality assurance. We are looking for an individual who is experienced in project management and has a good understanding of the education system in Hong Kong, good analytical, presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, and excellent written and spoken English and Chinese. Being proactive, reflective, independent as well as a good team player is essential. Experience in information system development projects is of an advantage.

 

Conditions of Service and Application Procedures
Appointment will be made on a temporary contract of one year. There is a possibility of contract renewal for a further period subject to mutual agreement. We offer a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Candidate with less experience may be considered for appointment as Project Officer.
