To drive the growth of the Private Equity Merger & Acquisitions Practice (PEMA) in Hong Kong by expanding existing client relationships and acquiring new ones.  To provide coordination, management oversight and execution of all phases of insurance due diligence, insurance placement and stewardship on behalf of private equity and/or corporate clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales and Relationship Development
  • Retains and expands existing client relationships and acquires new ones
  • Manages the financial performance of his/her book of business
  • Manages projects from cradle to grave including drafting reports and coaching project team members
  • Develops a business plan for portfolio of clients and prospects to meet specific retention and sales goals
  • Oversees quality of deliverables and enforcing critical deadlines
  • Engages the appropriate Marsh resources to offer best in front resources. Partners across the firm to utilize appropriate resources for initial and ongoing prospect meetings
  • Identifies key decision makers, clients or prospects risks needs and determines the services, products, and combinations that will best serve and address the client/prospect’s  issues and objectives

Scope:

Project Management

  • Manages large and moderately complex deals.  Consistently demonstrates a devotion to client service and promotes best practices with respect to meeting the overall need of the client.  May lead a team of Project Managers and other Marsh/MMC colleagues on deals

Sales and Relationship Development

  • Requires sales aptitude, communication skills, building and maintaining relationships, coordinating others, business acumen, strategic reasoning and a results focus. Possesses excellent and proven business skills with emphasis in organizational selling

Job Requirements:

  • Business Degree with at least 4-6 years’ relevant (preferably insurance) experience with managerial capacity to display leadership capabilities
  • Hong Kong experience preferred
  • Possesses solid project management, business development, client management skills
  • Excellent people management, time management, communication (written and verbal), presentation and problem solving skills
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently with minimal supervision at times;
  • Ability to work in a high paced dynamic work environment
  • Ability to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of general instructions
  • Ability to tolerate high levels of stress and a stressful work environment
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines consistently
  • Meet expectations for attendance and punctuality with flexibility to work beyond standard work hours as required from time to time
