A leader in asset management is seeking to hire a standalone lawyer to be based in Hong Kong, and to report into the Head of Legal who is based in Singapore.

Our client is a leading asset management player with global operations.

Description

Joining a team of 5 lawyers across the Asia region including Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan, you will report to the Head of Legal who is based in Singapore. The successful candidate will look after Hong Kong and China matters, advising on a variety of corporate matters such as corporate acquisitions, structuring/re-structuring, mergers, legal vehicle governance or licensing/registration of entities. You will also look after funds registration and distribution, as well as investment management and institutional matters.

Profile

The ideal candidate will possess at least 5 years' PQE with asset management / SFC fund authorization experience. Good working knowledge of local regulatory framework is required, as is the ability to work independently and to be a self-starter. Chinese language skills is preferred.
