The Department of Economics of Hong Kong Baptist University offers the following programmes: Bachelor of Business Administration (Applied Economics Concentration), Bachelor of Social Science in China Studies (Economics Concentration) and Master of Science in Applied Economics. The Department invites applications for the above positions. Applications in all economic fields will be considered. Preference will be given to applicants with expertise in one or more of the following areas: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Money and Banking, Financial Economics, and Chinese Economy. Those who are doing applied research will have an added advantage.
Applicants should have a relevant PhD degree. Candidates for senior positions should also have a strong track record of research and teaching accomplishments.
The appointment is offered on a substantiable track andinitial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of up to three years starting from September 2017. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding. Application for a short-term position with a visiting title will also be considered.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
