Objectives & Responsibilities

 

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the CFO will serve as a strategic partner and work closely with the CEO and other executive leadership members in overall corporate planning, strategy development and deployment. This position will also identify implications of overall business strategy for areas managed and lead the development and implementation of functional strategies. In addition, this position is required to drive operational efficiency and provide leadership in the following areas :-

 

 

Finance & Accounting

  • Accountable for financial health of the Corporation through effective credit and cost control, budgeting, capital investment, cash flow projection and treasury management
  • Responsible for financial management standardization and continuous improvement on financial management policies and systems, and ensuring the Corporation meets the financial, statutory, and legal requirements as well as Corporate Governance standards and practices
  • Provide financial analysis and modeling for commercial and investment projects, and advise Management Team on financial implications of commercial and investment decisions
  • Lead due diligence and feasibility studies on business strategy and future expansion

 

 

IT

  • Lead the corporate information technology team to provide secure and efficient IT infrastructure for the corporation and assets under management

 

 

Procurement

  • Lead the development of cost effective procurement strategy for goods and services
  • Drive the development and execution of efficient procurement process by streamlining procedures

 

Operational Efficiency

  • Provide new and existing customers with the best possible services in relation to billing inquiries and lease administration
  • Develop and improve operational process and procedures to ensure effective and efficient operations

 

Investment

  • Oversee the attraction of various investors and expend coverage into Angels, Venture Capitalist, Strategic Investors, Private Equity and Institutional investors
  • Create deal flow and manage relationship with the investors

 

Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the CEO and/or the Finance and Administration Committee

 

 

Requirements

  • Holder of Bachelor degree or above
  • Chartered/Certified Accountant with CCA, ACCA, CIMA or other equivalent professional qualification
  • With more than 20 years of experience in finance and operations gained in multinational corporations, preferably in technology industry. Possess at least 10 years’ experience at senior leadership position with solid track record of managing business back office operations
  • Good knowledge in financial modeling to help management team and Board members understand the financial implications of business decisions
  • A dynamic and result-oriented professional with excellent communication skills and can-do attitude
  • A diplomatic negotiator who is able to represent the Corporation’s best interest in dealing with external parties like bankers, auditors and regulatory bodies in achieving the Corporation’s mission
  • Extensive experience in dealing with investors at various levels would be highly desirable.
  • Confident and is able to command impact when communicating with Board members. With strong motivation to do something that will have significant impact on Hong Kong’s economy
  • A change agent that can transform and build the performance based culture for the organization
