A private charitable trust plans to expand its small executive team by adding a talented and resourceful communications specialist. The responsibilities of the position are varied and include engaging the Foundation’s network of scholars with meaningful events, managing the Foundation’s news gathering and editorial process, adding a stream of content to the Foundation’s social media pages, and producing the Foundation’s five-year reports.

Successful candidates will be offered a competitive package including a generous MPF contribution, full medical and dental coverage and support for in-post training leading to a professional communications qualification if required.

Candidates should possess an undergraduate degree in a science-related or communications-related subject or have relevant professional experience. Fluency in English, experience of professional writing and online and social media content development are essential requirements. Applicants should be self-starters, should enjoy creating and implementing new initiatives and should have the ability to manage multiple projects within time and budgetary constraints. Experience of science writing and fluency in written and spoken Chinese are desirable but not essential.
