Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Company’s AML and CDD procedures and ensure the latter are abreast with the latest guideline and regulations
  • Ensure the Company’s compliance with all applicable laws and regulations such as Money Lenders Ordinance, Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (Financial Institutions) Ordinance and PDPO
  • Guide the team on handling various regulatory issues and conduct case investigation relating to internal compliance
  • Prepare comments on consultations related to regulatory issues e.g. AML guideline, Amendment Bills of PDPO, FATCA
  • Develop and review policies and procedures to address relevant legislation / regulatory changes and align / adopt group standard
  • Liaise with external regulator regarding different legal & regulatory issues and provide comment to various business units
  • Act as advisory role in new product development process
  • Assist in establishing compliance monitoring program on the Company’s various activities, products and workflows to ensure compliance with internal policies, applicable laws and regulations
  • Conduct AML and Compliance related trainings to employees

 

Requirements

  • University degree holder in Accounting, Finance, Law or other related disciplines
  • At least 3-5 years’ compliance experience in financial institution or local regulator
  • Well-versed in the regulatory requirements in relation to anti-money laundering
  • Good inter-personal and communication skills
  • Able to manage assigned projects independently and to communicate the compliance requirements to businesses and functions effectively
  • Proficient in MS Office Application, including Word and Excel
  • Excellent in both written and spoken English and Chinese
