The School of Continuing and Professional Studies (CUSCS) is a self-financed unit of CUHK with its mission to provide quality lifelong education to the community. The School offers a variety of full-time and part-time post-secondary programmes, Top-up degrees, professional and continuing education programmes and short courses in diverse disciplines. CUSCS now invites applications for the post of Course Co-ordinator II to support the operation of programmes in the Languages and Communication disciplines.
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in related disciplines; (ii) at least 2 years’ post-qualification teaching/professional experience at tertiary level; (iii) proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese; (iv) good experience in curriculum design, quality assurance and academic administration; and (v) the ability to work independently and willingness to work flexible hours. Duties include (a) planning and developing related academic courses and programmes; (b) organising and co-ordinating the quality delivery of sub-degree and continuing education programmes; (c) developing marketing/promotional strategies; (d) developing academic links with local and overseas institutions for programme collaboration; and (e) supervising clerical staff. Appointment will initially be made on a contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement. Shortlisted candidates will be required to sit for a written test.
