Responsibilities

  • Turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions
  • Deployment of visualizations on dashboards
  • Perform analysis on large/diverse datasets by using various tools and techniques
  • Work closely with various business unit on the needs of data analysis
  • Extract, interpret, and present customer behaviour related to retail, shopping and location
  • Ability to pay a high attention to detail
  • Collaborate with the developers and teams on data mining, data interpretation, statistical modelling strategies and best practices

 

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics or related discipline
  • 1 - 3 years' experience in analytics
  • Experience in Big Data, Hadoop and Spark analytics environments
  • Hands on experience with R (Statistical Data Science), Matlab, SAS, and/or other tools appropriate for large scale statistical analysis of numerical and textual data
  • Experience with data mining, statistical modelling tools and underlying algorithms
  • Automation scripting: PERL, Python, Ruby, PHP and/or related bash/shell
  • Knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence and/or artificial neural networks skills are big plus
  • Ability to design elegant and concise data presentations using Excel and PowerPoint
  • Basic SQL scripting skills
  • Excellent communication, analytical and team-work skills
