This is a newly created Head of Design and Merchandising position with one of the premium lifestyle retailers in Hong Kong. They are inviting a dynamic, energetic and seasoned candidate to lead the newly established team and give strategic directions in overall category management, styling and merchandise mix to represent and maintain the brand image.

Our client manages a diversed portfolio of premium lifestyle brands in Hong Kong. To cope with business expansion, they are currently hiring for a seasoned Design & Merchandising expert to join as part of their management team.

Description

As the Head of Design & Merchandising, you will assume full responsibilities with:
  • developing overall product and merchandising strategies for the lifestyle business
  • take lead of overall category management, overall styling and merchandise mix
  • product design and development in line with assortment plans by determining key product attributes for different markets
  • ensure a tactile customer experience and brand visual merchandising standards for overseeing the implementation across all retail stores
  • keep abreast of the latest market trends in merchandise planning and and assess (re)alignment of existing processes
  • responsible for managing the P&L


Profile

The ideal holder will be:
  • degree educated in product design, interior design, supply chain merchandising or relevant disciplines
  • minimum 15 years experience within retail merchandising or product development of lifestyle FMCG products
  • strong decision maker in driving strategic product and business initiatives
  • with proven track record in leading buy teams for multiple categories and with ability to set direction of new brands


Job Offer

This is a head of department position which you will have full autonomy in driving business strategies for a growing premium lifestyle brand. Paying up to $70k per month plus excellent fringe benefits to attract the best.
