Roles:The Director – Corporate Services (D-CS) will oversee the overall strategic directions of the Authority’s Finance, Human Resources and Administration as well as its Information Technology services. In the area of finance, the key priorities are the formulation of the long term funding solutions, further enhancement of the effectiveness in finance, resources and project management. In the human resources and administration area, the organisation needs to institute staff development programs and long term human resources planning as well as consolidate its accommodation needs for added efficiency. In IT-related services, the organisation needs to continue its effort in formulating its IT strategies as well as enhancing the examination system to support the administration of the HKDSE and other international and professional examinations. Moreover, the D-CS will also provide executive support to the HKEAA Council, coordinate the preparation of the annual strategic plan and take charge of other governance initiatives. He/She will work closely with other operations divisions in order to further enhance the overall organisational efficiency and effectiveness. The D-CS will also make contribution in liaising with major institutional stakeholders including the government and other relevant organisations, especially on budget and public accountabilities issues.

Major Responsibilities:

(a)        Leading the Finance Division, Human Resources & Administration Division, Information Technology Division and the Corporate Services Team;

(b)       Strategic planning in respect of funding, facilities, human resources and corporate governance;

(c)        Managing committee affairs, legal and copyright functions;

(d)       Overseeing the management of Government funded projects;

(e)        Contributing to the overall goals of the HKEAA as a core member of the Leadership Team.

Requirements:

(a)        A recognised qualification and a Master degree in Business Administration, Education or a related discipline including financial management, human resources management or information technology management;

(b)       At least 10 years of senior management experience, preferably gained from a public body or sizeable private corporation;

(c)        Ability to provide high-level leadership in corporate governance as well as change management for improvement & development;

(d)       A proven record of extensive experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and working well under pressure and tight schedules;

(e)        Excellent leadership, influencing, negotiation and interpersonal skills with strong business and political acumen;

(f)        Excellent communication skills in written and oral English as well as Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua).

Employment Terms: The remuneration package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointment will initially be on a fixed-term contract with MPF benefits, medical and dental care. Future employment may be offered on renewable contracts subject to performance and staffing needs.
