CityU’s Computing Services Centre (CSC) is responsible for the provision, management and support of central ICT infrastructure services and systems in support of the University’s academic, research and administrative activities.

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Director of Computing Services provides strategic, technical and administrative leadership in innovative IT and network development, effective IT governance and computing services support for the campus community. The appointee will head the Centre, with over 80 professionals and support staff, in the delivery of superior computing services and facilities to faculty, staff and students.

The successful candidate must have strong academic credentials in Information Technology/Computer Science or related disciplines, at least with a bachelor degree, plus a substantial record of successful management and effective IT leadership at senior management level in sizeable organizations. Experience in a tertiary institution and a vision in academic computing would be desirable. S/he should be fully conversant with current and emerging IT developments and technology. Strong leadership, project management, communication and organizational skills are essential.

Salary and Conditions of Service

Remuneration package will be highly competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract; fringe benefits include contract-end gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and housing benefits.
