Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor’s degree or above (a degree in Law/Legal Studies will be advantageous); (ii) fulfilled the English language requirements set out on the website: http://www.per.cuhk.edu.hk/JobVacancies/LanguageforEO.aspx; (iii) at least 3 years’ post-qualification executive experience, preferably in higher education institutions or public organisations (experience in Mainland China development will be advantageous); (iv) an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua; (v) solid experience in writing reports and papers; (vi) excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills; (vii) strong self-motivation with the ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects; and (viii) high computer literacy and knowledge of software applications. Duties include (a) managing and administering various research funding schemes and projects; (b) liaising with internal departments and external bodies; (c) preparing statistics reports and papers; (d) compiling statistics reports; and (e) co-ordinating events. Occasional travel to Shenzhen may be required. Appointment will initially be made on a contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.
