Financial Crime Compliance aligns current activities within Global Risk and helps to build these into a more integrated framework to conduct Customer Due Diligence which enables HSBC to manage financial crime risk more effectively. It builds stronger controls to improve the way Financial Crime Compliance risks are managed in order to spot gaps as well as trends so that the team can take action. It proactively gathers and analyses financial intelligence in a smart way so that suspicious transactions, activities or connections can be identified and we can adequately protect our customers from the threat of financial crime.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Financial Crime Compliance Manager Asset Management Group Asia Pacific.
In this role, you will
Ensure proactive approach is taken to identify financial crime risk change and potential impacts on local Business Models.
Assist Senior Financial Crime Compliance Asset Management Group Manager in the development and continuous review for appropriateness of framework to monitor financial crime developments impacting on the business line locally.
To assist the Senior Financial Crime Compliance Asset Management Group Manager in driving the regional and local implementation plans to quantify impacts and implement actions to address, manage and mitigate impacts of regulatory changes on the business.
To assist Senior Financial Crime Compliance Asset Management Group Manager in implementing as required Anti Money Laundering, Counter Terrorist Finance, counter proliferation, anti bribery, anti corruption and sanctions policies and systems that ensure that the business exposure to financial crime and reputational risks is managed, in a practical and effective manner, including efficient and reasonable deployment of resources and an understanding of the business operations and needs.
To assist the Senior Senior Financial Crime Compliance Asset Management Group Manager in establishing and implementing global standards and strategic policies in region to ensure Singapore exposure to current risks and emerging arising risk is managed appropriately, in a commercially focused and practical manner.
Works closely with relevant Financial Intelligence Unit locally to manage Risk and Compliance matters.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements
Degree holder with extensive work experience in the area of Anti Money Laundering, Counter Terrorist Finance, Financial Crime Compliance with in order to be able to exercise sound judgment in implementing various Anti Money Laundering, Counter Terrorist Finance, and Financial Crime Compliance requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience of dealing with executives at all levels including the capacity to articulate the case for risk management and policy in the language of business.
Ability to develop practical, cost effective solutions to complex issues.
Experience of dealing with regulatory matters and confident interaction with Regulators.
Experience of interpreting and analysing a large volume of information and or data and provide succinct summary for management.
A diploma in Anti Money Laundering, as obtained through the International Compliance Training Academy, and or Association of Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialists, Certificate of Anti Money Laundering Specialist, would be useful, although not mandatory.
The chosen candidate for this role will be required to undergo enhanced vetting. Subject to local laws, this will require the individual to satisfactorily pass a series of additional checks as part of the recruitment process and on an ongoing basis, if appointed to the role.
