Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Science Education, or other relevant fields; a teaching qualification; fluency in Cantonese; and at least 3 years’ relevant post-qualification experience in teaching, curriculum and learning design, supervision, and experience in school-based curriculum innovation projects in science, either as a team leader or member within a school project team or as resource persons to provide direct support to schools. Experience in school-based action-learning research, and/or qualitative and quantitative research would be a distinct advantage.

The appointee will be responsible for the design, implementation and evaluation of the leadership and teacher professional development activities, including the organization and planning of workshops and events related to the theme of the project; work collaboratively with project team members to support teachers in project schools in the design, implementation and evaluation of e-learning supported Self-directed Learning in Science (SDLS) in the General Studies and Integrated Science curriculum in upper primary and lower secondary grades respectively; coordinate, plan, develop and organize dissemination materials and events to schools and teachers beyond the project schools; conduct literature review, research design, data collection, data analysis and report writing and various administrative and related duties; and perform any other activities as appropriate to advance the objectives of the SDLS project.
