Hong Kong Organic Resource Centre
The Faculty of Science is going to establish the Institute of Bioresource and Agriculture (IBA) which will serve as a knowledge hub that engages in bioresource conservation and sustainable agriculture, promotes and offers professional and public education in sustainable consumption, bioresource and organic agriculture. The Institute is seeking for a suitable candidate to fill the following vacancy. During the preparation stage, the appointee will work under the Hong Kong Organic Resource Centre.
The appointee is required to provide clerical support to the Institute and Centre. Duties include (a) handling telephone and email enquiries; (b) assisting in administrative work in daily operation and promotional events; (c) assisting in filing and report compilation; (d) performing any other duties as assigned by the Director or his delegates.
Applicants should have completed secondary education or specialised vocational training with at least three years of secretarial or clerical work experience. Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese is essential. Applicants should also possess good communication and organisation skills, be proactive and attentive to details and be able to work independently.
Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of one year commencing as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review, mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
