International Trade and Economic Development Organisation is looking for a General Manager to lead their Southern China Operation

Client Details

Our client is a government sponsored organisation and their mission is to promote international trade and foreign investment between Scotland and Greater China. To support the development of their Southern China operation, they are now inviting a dynamic individual to lead their team.

Description

Reporting directly to the Head of Greater China, you will be responsible for developing strong relationship with a portfolio of companies which are interested in investing and expanding their business to Scotland. You will understand the business vision and challenges of these companies and provide professional advice on business development strategies accordingly. Leveraging on your industry expertise and business network, you will support enterprises in the adoption of local business practice, regulation and culture. Managing a small team, you will serve as the representatives of the organisation and key contact points for external parties and government bodies. You will conduct regular market research and deliver presentation on latest market update to the management team.

Profile

You should be a degree holder with at least 10 years of relevant business development and sales experience in the commercial field or Investment Promotion Agency. Overseas education and work experience is highly preferred. Experience in international trade and exporting business is highly preferred. Strong business acumen, well-established local business network and experience in dealing with senior executives are essential. You should be a strong relationship builder with good leadership skills. Proficiency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is required.
