Join a dedicated career and alumni success team and help students and alumni land their dream jobs. SCAD seeks an industry and alumni outreach coordinator to facilitate daily industry outreach and relationship management activities while overseeing the alumni population in Hong Kong.
Reporting to the director of student success, you will be responsible for researching and pursuing career opportunities for students and alumni while developing and strengthening industry and alumni relations.
In this role, you will visit SCAD locations to interview student and alumni job candidates, make presentations to students about business and industry issues and visit classrooms for one-on-one interaction with students. You will serve as a SCAD ambassador to a variety of constituencies in Hong Kong, including industry professionals, alumni, prospective students and parents, current students and parents, potential donors, sponsors and others.
The ideal candidate has an established network of contacts in Hong Kong’s creative industries and an understanding of the art and design job market. You should possess strong communication, presentation, organizational and project management skills as well as a working proficiency and understanding of information management systems and web-based technology.
Additionally, you should have excellent interpersonal and technology skills, a student-centered focus and the ability to proactively solve problems while working independently and as part of a highly cooperative team.
− Bachelor’s degree
− Three to five years of a strong work history
− Experience in marketing and business development, employment recruiting or career advising for the creative industries
− Established Hong Kong business relationships in SCAD-related creative fields preferred
− Experience working in a recruitment agency preferred
