The appointee will assist in teaching courses (e.g. systems analysis and design, applications programming, database administration, computer networking, IS auditing), conducting tutorials and laboratory teaching, grading assignments, and preparing lecture and laboratory materials.

 

Applicants should have a bachelor’s and/or a master’s degree in information systems or related disciplines; a high level of English proficiency; and good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. Relevant teaching experience and knowledge in two of the following areas will be an advantage:

 

  1. System analysis and design - UML, MockPlus, InVision App, JustInMind, SDLC (System Development Life Cycle);
  2. Programming - VBA, Java;
  3. Database – Oracle;
  4. Business analytics and big data - Python, R, Scala, Amazon EC2 and EMR; and
  5. Networking - CISCO network configuration.

(Duration: 1 year, renewable)

 

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
