The Department has a few openings for the above positions starting Spring semester 2017.
Both Instructional Assistant and Teaching Associate will assist in the teaching of courses and tutorials, in laboratory instruction and in grading of students' work. They will help with the preparation of teaching materials and assist in academic counseling for students. Experience in organizing student activities and knowledge of mobile software development would be an advantage. Teaching Associates will also be required to assist in handling and coordinating duties related to the teaching programs of the Department.
For Instructional Assistant: a bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant disciplines is required; postgraduate training would be a plus. For Teaching Associate: a master’s degree in computer science or relevant disciplines is required; a higher degree plus teaching experience would be an advantage.
**For bachelor’s degree holders applying for the post of Instructional Assistant, exceptional consideration for admission to the part-time MPhil in Computer Science and Engineering program will be given to successful applicants who are also interested in pursuing postgraduate studies in computer science and engineering provided that he/she satisfies the minimum admission requirements of our postgraduate degree programs.** (Duration: 1 year, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
