We are looking for an addition to our in-house legal team. You will report to a Senior Legal Counsel and assist with providing legal support to a portfolio of internal clients.

The role offers a variety of work, from reviewing and drafting provisions and endorsements for life and general insurance products, to being involved in regulatory and other projects. The role involves providing legal support as required across a diverse portfolio of internal clients, requiring a good commercial understanding of the requirements of the insurance industry in Hong Kong and Macau.

Examples of legal services provided in this role include:
• Assisting with drafting policy provisions for both life and general insurance products
• Reviewing marketing and training materials for life and general insurance products
• Providing assistance to the life insurance and general insurance product teams on issues relevant to the business of insurance in Hong Kong and Macau
• Providing support to the General Counsel on regulatory matters as required
• Providing assistance to other business units as required, including financial planning, pensions and marketing.

To be successful in this role, you will be articulate, energetic and confident. You will be willing to explore new and innovative approaches to insurance, yet have a solid understanding of the regulatory framework. Previous experience in insurance or dealing with the OCI, MPFA and SFC is desirable, however training will be provided. If you have a few years of PQE in insurance related litigation, we are most interested in receiving your application.

Other skills – excellent Chinese language skills are mandatory for this role.
