Deloitte specializes in serving both global and local financial services clients, including commercial and investment banks, insurance companies and other financial services corporations.

 

 

 

As part of an initiative to grow Deloitte's Financial Services business, the firm is looking for a qualified Business Operations Manager to support the Chief of Staff in the delivery of the China Financial Services business plan including:

 

 

 

• Management information and Leadership reporting

o Deliver monthly business performance reports for the FSI Leadership Team to provide insight, information and transparency on current business performance across all functions, regions and sectors

o Report on historical and current progress against plan for the FSI priority accounts and work with Lead Client Service Partners (LCSPs) and account managers to analyze results and raise issues

o Support the FSI Core Leadership Team and its stakeholders in practice development by sharing insights and providing key business information

o Regularly analyze business performance data to understand variances or discrepancies o Provide ongoing support to the FSI Leadership team, its stakeholders and the industry community on strategic projects and ad-hoc reporting requests, including quarterly practice updates, global and regional reports, National Industry Program dashboards, industry webinars, etc.


• FSI Client Map Management

o Work closely with LCSPs, engagement partners, account managers and industry program managers to identify new subsidiaries listed in the system and align them with parent codes of key priority accounts 

o Maintain accurate client parent / subsidiary client trees for key priority accounts and ensure business performance results are accurate and consistent with the firm's leadership reporting

o Coordinate the client mapping process, including working with account managers, ITS, Finance, and Market and Global Networks to ensure client code maps, LCSP names, industry classification, account types and account names are up to date in the firm's systems across all business and locations


• Support the development of the annual business plan

o Support the Chief of Staff in the development and implementation of the FSI business plan

o Provide historical and current business information in support of the annual planning process across all functions, regions, sectors and priority clients


• Pipeline and opportunity management

o Develop and deliver a bi-weekly pipeline report and share with FSI Partners and Directors across the China firm

o Monitor current major opportunities in the CRM system and communicate key wins to the practice

o Be the go-to contact for FSI CRM entries and support contact and communication with ITS and with Finance for any changes, updates or queries

o Ensure priority accounts, LCSP and account manager related information is up to date in system to generate daily activity alerts on key priority accounts


• Business process review and design

o Review existing internal processes, make recommendations for improvement and work with support areas to implement changes/initiatives

o Support the Chief of Staff in the execution of a business plan and offer recommendations on areas of improvement by better leveraging system data and/or existing information

o Liaise with industry program managers and support areas to identify areas of collaboration

o Be the go-to contact for questions related to the firm's systems and support the leadership team, LCSPs and account managers to coordinate system requests with ITS and Finance

 

 

 

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate:
• 5 years+ experience
• Financial Services Industry knowledge
• A proven track record of working effectively and building strong relationships
• Commercial awareness and understanding of different businesses
• Ability to communicate, influence and present at all levels of business
• Very committed with a high level of drive, initiative and enthusiasm
• Self-starter, independent and proactive
• Ability to work with a team and to motivate others
• Strong project management and project delivery experience
• Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of business intelligence and analytics tools preferred
• Cantonese or Mandarin skills preferred
