Established by the Government in 1989, The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK) has five academic units, namely the School of Arts & Social Sciences, Lee Shau Kee School of Business & Administration, School of Education & Languages, School of Science & Technology, and the Li Ka Shing Institute of Professional & Continuing Education. Through them, we provide full-time and part-time programmes at undergraduate, post-graduate, and sub-degree levels.

Part-time Research Assistant (Ref.: 16-PTRA-343-O)

Duties
The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in an RGC-funded research project related to the analysis of the language specificness of two nursing specialties. The appointee will assist in (a) data collection; (b) data preparation for analysis; and (c) other relevant work assigned by the Principal Investigator.

Requirements
Applicants should possess a recognized degree, preferably a master’s degree in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics or a related discipline.  They should also have a high level of English proficiency, good computer knowledge and effective organization skills. 

Terms of Appointment
Successful candidate will be required to work no more than 16 hours per week during the period of appointment. The actual working days and hours shall be agreed between the appointee and the Principal Investigator. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions, if applicable. The appointment period will be between January and February 2017.
