Established by the Hong Kong Government in 1989 as a provider of distance education, OUHK began offering full-time face-to-face degree programmes in 2001. Over the years we have grown into a leader in open and flexible education in the Asia Pacific region, and our full-time face-to-face programmes for qualified secondary school leavers are on par with other established universities across Hong Kong. OUHK today is a young, dynamic, full-fledged university.

Part-time Teaching Assistant (Ref.: 17-PTTA-216-O)

Duties & Requirements

The appointees are responsible for the following duties:

i)     To assist in, and where necessary, undertake course planning, development and delivery of the full-time face-to-face undergraduate programmes;

ii)     To conduct tutorials;

iii)    To mark assignments/examination scripts; and

iv)    To perform other related teaching and administrative duties as assigned by Dean (A&SS) or his nominee.

 

Requirements for relevant courses are as follows:

l   Highlights in World Civilizations

Applicants should possess at least a recognized degree in History or a related discipline, with strong background in European and world history. Preference will be given to those with a relevant higher degree and teaching experience at tertiary level.

 

l   English Grammar Analysis / The Structure of Modern English: Words and Sentences / University English Writing Skills

Applicants should possess at least a recognized degree in English, Linguistics or a related discipline. Preference will be given to those with a relevant higher degree and teaching experience at tertiary level.

 

l    Foundations of Social Sciences: Psychology / Introductory Psychology / Social Psychology / Research Methods in Psychology / Life-Span Developmental Psychology / Abnormal Psychology

Applicants should possess at least a recognized degree in Psychology. Preference will be given to those with a relevant higher degree and teaching experience at tertiary level.

 

l   Mobile Culture and Communication in the Digital Era

Applicants should possess a recognized degree in digital media, mobile culture, communication or a relevant discipline, with a focus on digital culture and mobile communication for contemporary information society and creative economy. Preference will be given to those with a relevant higher degree and teaching experience at tertiary level.

 

l    多媒體寫作 / 中國現代文學專題 / 新聞寫作概論

申請者須持有認可學士學位,主修中國語言及文學或相關科目。持有碩士或以上學位及具教學經驗者可獲優先考慮。

 

l   中文傳意()

l   傳媒翻譯

Terms of Appointment
