Professor of English
General education is an essential component of the SCAD undergraduate experience, developing students as critical thinkers by providing an intellectual foundation and breadth of knowledge for lifelong learning. SCAD Hong Kong seeks candidates to contribute to this objective as a full-time professor teaching English as part of the university’s general education core curriculum.
- Ph.D. in English, with a specialty in composition and rhetoric preferred
- Demonstrated teaching excellence and exemplary communication skills in area of specialization
- Five or more years of college-level teaching experience in English or its related subjects
- Experience engaging with a diverse student body
Academic administrative experience is also preferred, as the person in this position will supervise and manage SCAD Hong Kong liberal arts offerings.
