Asian Charity Services (www.asiancharityservices.org), is a leading provider of pro-bono organizational development training and consulting services for NGO capacity building in Hong Kong. We offer one of Asia’s largest platforms of skill based volunteerism to empower NGOs to serve their communities more effectively and sustainably within a well-structured environment.

Ignite is a NGO leader training seminar which ACS has run successfully for 3 consecutive years, from 2012 to 2015. We are currently in the process of relaunching this sort-after training seminar and looking for a self-motivated team player to join as Program Manager and to strengthen our growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and manage the Ignite training seminars and maximize each seminar’s outcomes
  • Develop seminar curriculum, conduct seminar subject related research, NGO survey and analysis of survey results
  • Identify and liaise with expert guest speakers
  • Help market the Ignite seminars to the NGO community
  • Prepare seminar outcome reports for our financial sponsor and stakeholders
  • Support ACS leadership team in managing relationships with corporate and foundation partners / sponsors and selected NGO leaders
  • Recruit, screen, train and manage volunteers for the Ignite seminars
  • Reports directly to the Executive Director
  • Participate in specific ACS projects to be assigned by the Executive Director from time to time

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications

  • University degree with at least 7 years of work experience in corporate and/or nonprofit sector
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to lead, plan, organize, manage and balance different functions of executing the Ignite training seminar
  • Community Service Focused: desires to mobilize the broader community to help make a difference
  • Multicultural Orientation: Interact confidently and comfortably in a broadly diverse cultural operating environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, confident and articulate when presenting to diverse audiences including corporates, foundations, NGOs and volunteers
  • Excellent written and verbal fluency in English
  • Adequate written and verbal fluency in Chinese
  • Effective project implementation and execution through meeting key project milestones and deadlines
  • Effectively engage, influence, motivate and manage project team members comprising colleagues and volunteer consultants
  • Relevant experience in executive training, coaching and consulting or related field is an advantage
