Established by the Government in 1989, The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK) has five academic units, namely the School of Arts & Social Sciences, Lee Shau Kee School of Business & Administration, School of Education & Languages, School of Science & Technology, and the Li Ka Shing Institute of Professional & Continuing Education. Through them, we provide full-time and part-time programmes at undergraduate, post-graduate, and sub-degree levels.

Today we have over 9,500 full-time and 10,000 part-time students with more than 220 programmes of studies. As one of the five academic units of the OUHK, the LiPACE is a dynamic, market-oriented and fast growing continuing education provider. With the mission of promoting life-long learning, the LiPACE offers a variety of flexible and high-quality educational opportunities, with an emphasis on face-to-face teaching, to the public for personal development, career advancement and appreciation of life. These include professional and training programmes, full-time programmes (e.g. Diploma Yi Jin, Diploma and Higher Diploma), full-time/part-time degree and masters programmes in collaboration with overseas institutions, and the Capacity Building Mileage Programme (a flexible learning project designed to equip women with a positive mindset and develop their potentials) in collaboration with the Women’s Commission.

Programme Officer (Healthcare) (Ref: 16-PO(H)-340-O)

Duties

The appointees will assist in programme/course planning, development, coordination and delivery. He/she will also be required to support the Institute’s operations and participate in Institute/University activities, where necessary, he/she will be required to undertake classroom teaching.

Requirements

Applicants should possess a relevant recognised Bachelor’s degree, preferably a higher degree, and/or relevant professional qualifications in allied health, nursing or a related subject area. Relevant professional experience in related subject areas and/or teaching/administration experience in tertiary/continuing education is preferred. Applicants should also possess good communication skills and be proficient in both Chinese (preferably including Putonghua) and English.

Terms of Appointment

Successful candidate will be appointed on a full-time fixed term contract. Fringe benefits will include annual leave, medical & dental benefits, life insurance coverage and gratuity, where applicable. A variable pay may also be granted on the basis of performance.
