Project Analyst (18-month Contract)

The Department

Our Racing Operations Department manages vast areas where horses train and race. It is an interesting, busy and natural environment where you will find some of Hong Kong's most colourful people, like racing professionals, world class sportsman, agronomist and engineers. We are looking for a proactive and highly-motivated individual to join our team. 

The Job

You will:

 

  • collaborate with users and IT development team throughout the system development lifecycle in various system enhancement projects and ensuring the quality of delivered software
  • perform UAT of various information systems in use in the Racing Operations Department
  • work with users in preparing the Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) for daily usage of the system and prepare the UAT Test Scenarios, Test Cases and Test Scripts
  • define and prepare test data according to the test scenarios and execute the UAT according to the test cases and test scripts
  • work with the development team to endue timely identification of root cause and resolution of software defects
  • consolidate UAT results from participating parties and prepare testing reports and statistics
  • assist in managing the system enhancement projects

 

About You

You should have:

 

  • Bachelor degree in either Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or business related disciplines
  • minimum of 1 year relevant working experience in business applications development
  • good knowledge of software development lifecycle, in particular, software testing
  • good problem solving, analytical, project management and communication skill as well as ability to work with diverse stakeholders
  • some racing knowledge and passion with horses will be an added advantage
  • proficient in using MS Access and other MS Office tools
  • proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Putonghua
