The Chinese University of Hong Kong is the pioneer in business education in Hong Kong and has nurtured a large number of business leaders and professionals who are playing instrumental roles in their industries and organisations. In order to support our developments at the CUHK Business School, we are looking for a high-calibre candidate for the following post at the School’s Alumni and Corporate Affairs Office. The appointee will contribute to planning and executing events, interacting with alumni and industry, maintaining and developing infrastructure, such as the alumni database and website, and involving in other initiatives on alumni and corporate development.

Applicants should have (i) completed secondary education or above; (ii) Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE, including Chinese and English (Syllabus B); OR any combination of results in at least 5 HKDSE subjects (including Level 2 or above in Chinese and English): Level 2 or above in NSS subjects, “Attained” or above in ApL subjects (subject to a maximum of 2 subjects), and Grade E or above in Other Language subjects; (iii) fast and accurate typing; (iv) at least 3 years’ work experience, with a good track record in projects management and preferably with experience in database, website and social media platforms; (v) excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills; (vi) a self-motivated and detail-minded work attitude, and the ability to manage multi-projects independently and under pressure; (vii) a good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including fluency in Putonghua); and (viii) competent literacy in computer applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Knowledge of and experience in using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver are preferred. Duties include (a) providing administrative support; (b) assisting in alumni events organisation; (c) performing internal and external liaisons with the University’s units and business partners for alumni and corporate engagement; (d) preparing publicity collaterals, including monthly e-newsletter and eDM announcements; (e) maintaining and updating online databases and social media platforms; and (f) performing other related tasks as assigned. Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a written test.
