The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, working with more than 150 ophthalmologists and visual scientists in Hong Kong and Mainland China, is committed to advancing patient services, research, training and education to the highest possible standard in all major areas of ophthalmology and visual sciences. We are looking for appointment in the following position to further strengthen our research.
Project Co-ordinator II (Ref. 160001VN) (closing date: October 11, 2016)
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree; (ii) a good command of English and Chinese; (iii) high proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and other Windows applications; (iv) a good command of spoken English and Putonghua; and (v) a self-motivated, hard-working and honest attitude, and a strong sense of responsibility. Experience in and capability of conducting clinical trials, grant management and research project management is preferred. Research experience in ophthalmology or visual sciences is desirable but not mandatory. The appointee will be involved in both team and independent research. Duties include providing executive support for department programmes and research projects. Appointment will initially be made on a 1- or 2-year contract (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract) commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
