The CUHK Jockey Club Institute of Ageing is established to support the University’s aspiration to overcome the challenges brought by the ageing population to the society. The Institute will synergise the research personnel and efforts on ageing across disciplines to promote and implement holistic strategies for active ageing through research, policy advice, community outreach and knowledge transfer. Project Co-ordinator II(s) (carrying the job title of ‘Project Manager/Project Officer’)

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or Social Science discipline; (ii) substantial years of post-qualification experience, preferably with 8 years’ work experience in the elderly service sector; (iii) excellent communication and interpersonal skills; (iv) strong verbal, written and presentation skills in both English and Chinese; and (v) the ability to work closely in a team as well as to work independently. Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Project Officer. The appointee will (a) establish partnership and co-ordinate with team members and other stakeholders of the project; (b) develop materials for the programme; (c) conduct workshops, seminars, public forums and information sessions to stakeholders; (d) co-ordinate projects and events related to the Institute; and (e) perform other duties as assigned. Appointment will initially be made on a contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract), renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
