DEPARTMENT OF APPLIED MATHEMATICS

Project Officer (Ref. 16110301)
[Appointment period: twelve months]

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) provide administrative support to promotional activities, including planning, design and delivery of such activities for students, alumni and staff members of the Department;

(b) liaise with relevant external organizations;

(c) assist in the production of promotional materials;

(d) handle enquiries from students and staff members on academic and general activities of the Department; and

(e) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or her delegates.

The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours occasionally.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a recognised degree or an equivalent qualification;

(b) at least three years of post-qualification administrative experience, preferably in a business setting;

(c) experience in editing publicity materials;

(d) a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, preferably with proficiency in Putonghua; and

(e) excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a passion to work with people.

Preference will be given to those with work experience in marketing or public-relations. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to sit for a written test.

Remuneration
