Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, financial crime and regulatory compliance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth. 

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Regional Business Manager, Asia Pacific Risk. 

In this role, you will

  • Support the formulation, and the execution of communication strategies, including event management for town halls, conferences and other function wide activities.
  • Support the formulation, and the execution of people strategies, facilitate and support hiring requests and other business management activities for the Risk function.
  • Undertake cost management and headcount forecasting, support effective real estate management, and implement changes for the Risk function.
  • Support the embedment of bank wide policies and standards for the Risk function.   

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements

  • University Graduate in Business Administration, Marketing or Communications, experience in communications, people development and event management would be a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal organization skills.
  • Good analytical skills, with excellent business and commercial awareness.
  • Proactive and resilient in a dynamic and constantly changing international environment.
  • Knowledge of change and project management principles would be ideal.
