Regulatory Compliance - providing proactive assistance in identifying, assessing and containing Compliance Risk; fostering a compliance culture; optimizing relations with regulators; and preserving the Bank's reputation in the marketplace by ensuring that our policies comply with the spirit and letter of the laws and regulations wherever we do business.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Regulatory Compliance Global Banking and Markets Manager (RC GBM Manager).


Principal responsibilities

  • Conduct monitoring and surveillance against Global Markets activities
  • Provide compliance advice to business units of the Bank to ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and group standards
  • Review policies, procedures, marketing materials, new product proposals and customer correspondence, as well as carry out compliance review
  • Support local compliance risk assessments, ensuring that they are completed effectively, with monitoring plans prepared and executed
  • Study the new regulations / consultation papers issued by regulatory bodies and assist in fostering the compliance culture of the Bank
  • Support Global/Regional Compliance Projects
  • Partner with regional/country teams leveraging resources as needed to execute Compliance oversight and support of GBM Business

Requirements

  • University degree or other relevant qualifications
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in compliance, audit or risk management field in financial services industry, with exposure to the global markets activities or monitoring and surveillance an advantage
  • Good knowledge of rules, regulations and statutory requirements from the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Securities and Futures Commission
  • Strong self-motivation, with good communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
