Established by the Government in 1989, The Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK) has five academic units, namely the School of Arts & Social Sciences, Lee Shau Kee School of Business & Administration, School of Education & Languages, School of Science & Technology, and the Li Ka Shing Institute of Professional & Continuing Education. Through them, we provide full-time and part-time programmes at undergraduate, post-graduate, and sub-degree levels.
Today we have over 9,500 full-time and 10,000 part-time students with about 220 programmes of studies.

The appointee will be responsible for providing assistance in developing and implementing plans for research promotion and research capacity building, handling research projects, preparing research related reports, providing support in running seminars/workshops, coordinating the organization of academic international conferences, and assisting the University to maintain close links with other research units in Hong Kong and other parts of the world. He/she will be required to have sufficient expertise and seniority to complete the tasks ahead.
Applicants should possess a doctoral degree. A master’s degree holder with at least three years’ experience in research and publications may also be considered. Preference will be given to those who are familiar with university education. They should have good knowledge of a broad range of research methods and techniques. Applicants should also have an excellent command of English and Chinese (preferably including Putonghua) and good organizational, presentation and interpersonal skills. They should be able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, and have knowledge of common statistical tests and in the use of computer application software.
Terms of Appointment
Successful candidate will be appointed on a full-time fixed term contract. Renewal of contract will be subject to performance, service need and availability of funding. Fringe benefits will include annual leave, medical & dental benefits and gratuity, where applicable.
